Role Overview

The Sales Executive –  is responsible for driving fuel sales, acquiring new customers, and managing commercial relationships across the company’s portfolio of petroleum products and services. This role targets bulk fuel buyers, transport operators, aviation customers, and institutional clients.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, relationship-driven commercial professional with a proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close in a high-compliance, high-volume sales environment. This position plays a key role in expanding market share, increasing revenue, and promoting the company’s reputation as a reliable energy partner.

Roles & Responsibilities

A. New Business Development

  • Identify, engage, and convert prospective clients across targeted sectors (aviation, transport, construction, institutions, logistics).
  • Conduct needs assessments and tailor fuel solutions to client-specific operations and delivery models.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and convert leads into long-term supply agreements.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects using CRM tools and field intelligence.

B. Account Management & Client Retention

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction, timely deliveries, and service excellence.
  • Resolve client issues proactively, including pricing queries, delivery timelines, and supply reliability.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to upsell or adjust service offerings based on evolving client needs.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure customer service commitments are met.

C. Sales Planning & Target Delivery

  • Meet and exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets across fuel categories.
  • Develop territory or sector-specific sales plans with revenue projections and action steps.
  • Track performance against KPIs, report on progress, and adjust strategies where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, contracts, and engagement logs.

D. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor competitor activity, customer trends, pricing shifts, and emerging market needs.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Commercial Manager on client sentiments and market opportunities.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and market entry discussions.
  • Attend trade shows, industry forums, and networking events to build brand visibility and client connections.

E. Contracting & Compliance Support

  • Assist in proposal writing, contract preparation, and negotiation under the guidance of the legal/commercial team.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and sector regulations during client onboarding and transactions.
  • Verify that all documentation, delivery instructions, and payment terms are clear and contractually sound.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ field sales experience, preferably in the oil & gas, logistics, or B2B industrial sectors.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets in a competitive market.
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum products, pricing models, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with CRM software and reporting tools.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory.
