Job Role

The Operations Manager oversees the end-to-end operational activities of oil and gas businesses in Tanzania. The role ensures efficiency in supply chain, compliance with industry standards, and profitability of operations.

2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Ensure smooth operations across supply chain and retail outlets.
• Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Support strategic growth and expansion in Tanzania.

3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Operations Oversight – Manage logistics, distribution, and supply chain activities.

 B. Policy Implementation – Enforce operational standards, streamline processes.

 C. Performance Monitoring – Track KPIs, prepare operational dashboards, recommend improvements. 

D. Compliance & Safety – Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations. 

E. Risk & Audit Management – Conduct audits, identify risks, implement mitigation strategies.

 F. Cross-Functional Coordination – Align operations with sales, finance, and technical teams.

Qualification

4. QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience in oil and gas operations.
• Strong background in logistics and supply chain management.
• Experience in managing multi-site operations in Tanzania preferred.
