Role Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shift-based forecourt and auxiliary operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery at the station. The role acts as the operational link between frontline staff and station management, ensuring SOP adherence, HSSE enforcement, accurate reporting, and consistent customer service during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shift Operations & Service Supervision
- Supervise daily shift operations across fuel dispensing, service bay, car wash, and forecourt activities.
- Ensure all staff report on time, are properly groomed, and adhere to assigned duties.
- Allocate duties per shift to ensure optimal service coverage and operational efficiency.
- Ensure uninterrupted service delivery during the shift.
2. HSSE Compliance & Safety Enforcement
- Enforce HSSEMS requirements at shift level, including PPE use and safe fuel handling.
- Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Monitor forecourt safety, spill control, fire readiness, and emergency response compliance.
- Immediately report and document any HSSE incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
3. Stock Monitoring & Loss Prevention
- Supervise fuel dispensing accuracy and pump meter readings during shifts.
- Conduct and record shift-based dip readings and handover reconciliations.
- Monitor and control product losses, pilferage risks, and operational variances.
- Escalate any discrepancies to the Station Manager promptly.
4. Cash Control & Documentation
- Supervise cash handling, POS usage, and shift sales reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate completion of shift sales reports and handover documentation.
- Verify supporting documents for all transactions during the shift.
5. Customer Service & Issue Resolution
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Resolve minor service issues on the spot and escalate complex matters to the Station Manager.
- Ensure courteous, professional conduct by all frontline staff.
6. Staff Discipline & Performance Monitoring
- Enforce station rules, attendance, and performance standards during shifts.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and corrective guidance to staff.
- Report disciplinary issues or persistent underperformance to the Station Manager.
7. Asset Care & Security Support
- Ensure proper use and care of station equipment and assets during shifts.
- Coordinate with security personnel to maintain forecourt security and loss prevention.
- Report equipment faults, security concerns, or suspicious activities immediately.
